Co-Founder and Product Manager at 2tap
2010 - 2013
As a Co-Founder and Product Manager at 2tap Studio, I had the thrill of leading the development of “Split.” This wasn't just any app—it was our answer to the age-old dilemma of splitting bills without the headache. The app was a hit, topping the charts as the #1 Free Utility App in various countries and getting shoutouts on major Brazilian platforms like TechTudo and Blog do iPhone.
In the world of 2tap, I was the bridge builder—connecting designers with engineers and making sure everyone played nice. My role was all about harmonizing our creative and technical talents to keep our projects flowing smoothly. As the UX Lead and Design Producer, I was the go-to guy for creating snazzy documentation and managing assets. Think of me as the orchestra conductor, ensuring each section hit the right notes.
Beta testing was like our version of a treasure hunt, where over 50 testers helped us dig up valuable insights, leading to some pretty nifty feature enhancements. And let's not forget the challenge of making “Split” a citizen of the world. I dived into the deep end of localization, juggling translations for Portuguese, English, French, and German markets. It was like being a language chef, mixing the right ingredients for cultural tastiness.
Before Split made waves, there was “Acordes”—our chords app. Picture me fine-tuning each digital key with the precision of a watchmaker. Those were the days of blending art and code, one pixel at a time.
At 2tap Studio, we didn’t just develop apps; we crafted experiences. And sure, it was a bit like herding cats at times, but hey, that's the fun of startup life!
